When coming to Brazil, most people start their adventure in Sao Paulo, the largest city in the country and in the world. The city has a great gastronomy scene and serves as a seat of Brazilian culture.

Outside of Sao Paulo, travelers should not miss Macapa in the northern part of the country. This city is off the beaten track for tourists, but offers a glimpse at rural Brazil with many incredible beaches. Here, visitors should feel safe exploring the beautiful countryside.

People interested in the Amazon should visit Manaus, a large city that houses the Rio Negro Palace and the Amazonas Opera House. The city serves as the gateway to the rainforest. Visitors should also take time to see the Meeting of the Waters, where the Negro and Solimoes Rivers run next to each other for several miles without mixing.
