Jonah Engler is a New York City native who made his name as an entrepreneur and business leader in his early 20s. In Jonah Engler’s personal life, one of his favorite authors is James Patterson.

Though the book is not due out until mid-2018, cable network Showtime has recently won a bidding war to acquire the rights to James Patterson’s “The President is Missing,” co-authored with former United States President Bill Clinton.

According to Showtime, Clinton will bring a level of realism to the thriller, providing key insight and details on the presidency. Clinton, who said he was “really enjoying” co-authoring the novel, also said he “can’t wait to see Showtime bring the characters to life.”
David Nevins, CEO and president of Showtime, called the adaptation “a coup of the highest order.” He went on to say that the pairing of Clinton and Patterson will provide a “politically relevant, character-based action series.”
While Clinton has authored multiple nonfiction books, this joint effort with Patterson marks the 42nd president’s first foray into fiction. As for Showtime’s small screen adaptation, there is still no word on a release date.
